Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships

Collaborating with other NGOs

We have partnered with like-minded non-governmental organisations (NGOs) such as Namibia Planned Parenthood Association (NAPPA), which focuses on health, education, and social services. These collaborations help our clinic expand its outreach and support advocacy efforts.

Building Relationships with Governmental Ministries

Our collaborations with governmental ministries, including the Ministry of Health and Social Services, are mutually beneficial. They ensure our clinic's services align with national health priorities and policies while also providing us with access to government resources, training programmes, and data. In return, we keep our partners informed about policy changes and new health initiatives.

Collaborating with Referral Hospitals

We have created critical referral pathways with Windhoek Central Hospital and Intermediate Hospital Katutura to ensure that patients who require specialised care can be transferred quickly and efficiently. This collaboration enables a seamless progression of care for patients, reduces delays in treatment, and enhances patient outcomes, particularly for complex cases that necessitate higher-level care.

Building Relationships with Local Clinics and Health Centres

The #BeFree Cares Clinic can extend its reach to a broader population by collaborating with nearby clinics and health centres. Local clinics refer patients to our services, while our clinic offers support in areas where other health centres may need more expertise or resources, such as in contraception methods.

Partnering with Academic Institutions

We have partnered with the University of Namibia (UNAM), which allows our clinic to engage in research and stay updated on the latest developments in sexual and reproductive health.

Outreach

The #BeFree Cares Mobile Clinic Outreach Programme is a vital step towards improving the health and well-being of adolescents and young people in vulnerable communities within the Khomas Region and surrounding areas. By providing essential reproductive health services, including HIV/STI testing, contraception and mental health support, the programme aims to reduce health risks, prevent unintended pregnancies and empower individuals to lead healthy lives. This initiative underscores our commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in healthcare, ensuring that marginalised populations receive the attention and care they deserve.

Testimonies

From the moment you step into the clinic, there’s an undeniable sense of warmth and positivity that immediately puts you at ease. The friendly, welcoming staff are not only professional but also genuinely care about your well-being. What stood out to me the most was their holistic approach to care – they don’t just focus on physical health but also provide psychological services, ensuring that patients’ emotional needs are met.

I was particularly impressed by the efficiency of the entire process. When I came in for an implant insertion, I was in and out in under 30 minutes, making the experience incredibly convenient and stress-free. It’s clear that this clinic values both the quality and timeliness of care, making a real difference for patients like myself.

We are dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding health and wellness, with a particular emphasis on Women’s Health and Gender-based Violence and Femicide, and promoting mental health awareness.
